The Fat Monster Awakes

Within the sleepy suburb of Rancho Cucamonga, FAT MONSTER FILMS awakes. ... Unless you live in L.A. and are familiar with the hinterlands known as the Inland Empire, you likely are asking the question, "where the hell is Rancho Cucamonga?" If you're too lazy to google it, let's just say you hit Pasadena and keep going ... for a long time. We like to think of this place as L.A.'s gateway to Las Vegas and, frankly, we could probably get to Vegas in less time than it takes us to get to Hollywood when the 10 is jammed up (which is pretty much most of the time except maybe 3 to 4 a.m.

However, as a startup film production company, we're more than willing to put in the drive time in exchange for the cheaper rent and nice surroundings of R.C. We have a production office undereneath living space in a brand new shopping district just 4.18 miles from the ONTARIO airport and about every possible franchised restaurant in the U.S. within 8 blocks.

We officially opened our doors this September and in just over a month have aquired a book of business that exceeds our most optimistic predictions. In addition to several commercial projects underway, we have shot two music videos that are being edited as this is written. This past week we flew to Atlanta, Georgia for a shoot and ended up participating in the most bizarre barbecue contest, known as the Dooly County Big Pig Jig. Words cannot really describe this thing. Suffice it to say that South Georgia people take their barbecue seriously. We were invited to join a competition team called PRIME TIME SWINE and we spent Friday and Saturday smoking pork and drinking beer. We'll post some pictures in the photo album when we get time.

Ok, this concludes our inaugural blog for the Fat Monster Film site. We'll have to see if we keep this blog up or whether it becomes like that puppy we got for Christmas and fed for awhile before putting it in the basement and forgetting about it. ... by the way, where is that damn puppy.

Congratulations to my Amigos out there in Rancho Cucamonga. If you dudes (especially Timothy) can stay off the sauce long enough, you will totally own Hollyweird. Watch out Spielberg, Scorcese, Woo and of course John Waters, there some new lads on the block and these dudes ROCK!!
The Fat Monster is totally PHAT!!!
